When trying to open a financial document (or any other Excel based TurboLaw document), either from TurboLaw itself or by double-clicking the file itself from Windows Explorer, the file does not open. Microsoft Excel may open, but it will open without opening the file (i.e., it will open with a "blank" gray screen).
If you are double-clicking the file from Windows Explorer, you may also receive an error message:
Cannot find the file 'path' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available.
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, the error message will be:
Windows cannot find 'FilePath\FileName', Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
This is a known problem with Microsoft Excel, and applies to all versions of Microsoft Excel from Excel 97 through to Excel 2010.
To resolve this problem, follow the instructions in the Microsoft knowledge base article 211494 which addresses this issue.
