Bill and Statement templates in TurboLaw Time and Billing are saved on your computer only, unless you choose otherwise. (This is independent of whether you share a database with other users, and is done so that different users can have different templates if they so desire.)
To share your bill template with other users, you would need to export the template from your computer and import it into the program on other user's computers.
To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Choose Bill Template" (or "Choose Statement Template) screen on the computer that has the template you wish to use. (Click Tools > Settings > Templates > Choose Bill Template or Choose Statement Template.)
- From the list of "My Templates," right-click the name of the template you wish to share, and choose "Export Template." Save the template somewhere convenient (for example, on your network or shared drive, if you have one, or on a USB drive if you don't have a network).
- Then, from each of the other computers, go back to the same "Choose Bill Template" (or "Choose Statement Template) screen (Tools > Settings > Templates > Choose Bill Template or Choose Statement Template) and right-click in the list of "My Templates" and choose "Import Template." Choose the file you exported previously, and the template will be added to the list on this computer.
Once this is done, you won't need to do it again (unless you make changes to the template design).
